Surely, someone had a gun nearby to save some innocent victims.

I read security shot at him (not confirming this happened). Regardless his tactical gear was too heavy.

You’re generalizing a truth about street thugs onto good people of the community.

Be less of a dumbass.

So you’re advocating ‘street thugs’ do vigilante things ‘for the good of their community’?

Do I have that right?

That funny you mention that.

We had a shooting at a Kroger here a couple years ago (shooter self-admitted it was racially motivated and tried to enter a nearby Black church but it was locked). He walked up and shot an older Black man in the back of the head while he was shopping. Then shot a Black woman in the parking lot on the way out.

As he was leaving the parking lot he said, to a White armed man who pulled out his firearm when he saw the shooter with his gun drawn (also White) and the shooter said to him “I won’t shoot if you won’t shoot, white don’t kill whites”. And he let him (the shooter) walk away.

So we can go both ways here with your logic, OP. Reality is these things are chaotic. And if you’re not tactically trained, you may not be equipped for that.

how do you know thugs don't ever pull out their guns for the good of their community? also, how do you know there have been opportunities? most of those thugs hide in the darkness and aren't exactly around to help.

I read that too...armed, off-duty law enforcement officer moonlighting as security.

How bad does the neighborhood have to be that you need armed LEO security at the grocery store?

TD is overall pretty damned racist.

So many examples but one in recent memory is when someone posted in response to a basketball fight video: “It’s almost as if there’s a correlation between melanin and impulse control.”

That statement is the definition of racism and got a 100:1 Up/Downvote ratio.

/and now I brace myself for the racists to tell me how not racist this is.

Everyone is racist to some degree, somebody is always dumping on somebody else.

Dumping on somebody - not racist.

Assuming someone inferior because of skin color - racist.
