re: Why does the OT think driving drunk is no big deal?

It may not be provable, but logic indicates it makes sense.
FWIW, I am opposed to lowering the limit, but I think 2nd and 3rd offense penalties should be much harsher.

This is just stupid. I guess you've never seen the crash site of a sober driver?

It is hard to get behind something with an ever changing definition. Things like drunk driving, racism, who can go in which bathroom, etc. get changed and talked about until most people are sick of even thinking about it.

Try harder. Saying that sober people crash (at a lower frequency) does nothing to refute the danger of danger of drunk driving.

Because the OT Ballers aren't pusssies and know how to hold their liquor

The vast majority of driving is done by sober people. You can prove it a number of ways, you can take a statistical look at the number of hours driven drunk compared to sober and then look at the crash frequency in each.
You can, under controlled circumstances, compare a sober driver on a test course to a drunk driver on a test course.
People have in fact done studies on this and people who are drunk do have a higher chance to get into a crash.

While I don't or try not to text and drive anymore I can tell you it's way worse than driving with a couple drinks in you. When I started to notice that I would have no recollection of what I just drove by is why I stopped texting and driving. Typically when have a few drinks in you, you're more focused on the road than ever. Obviously there is a level where you are too drunk to drive.

I owe it to myself, my family, and drivers who I'm sharing the road...to be a safe driver. I honestly take pride in being attentive and mindful when I drive. I'd never drive when I know I shouldn't. But, I've driven many times when I'd receive a DUI if pulled over. frick you for thinking I deserve one.
The fact that you have these views of drinking and driving and not the hundreds of other situations that are potentially harmful shows me you don't give a shite about public safety and are likely an idiot.

My post earlier in this thread.
You are either
1) Intentionally misrepresenting my point in this thread
2) An idiot
or
3) Trolling.
If people on this board want to troll about something that could kill innocent people then whatever, I guess that is cool.

Accidents happen without drunk people too.
I went to school before uber. What happens is kids wait an hour, taxi never shows up, they say frick it and drive.
Baton Rouge for so long were just saying, we don't care, drive drunk. Only other option is walk, where you might get hit by a train or a driver. Might get mugged. Or get your friends, who were out at the bar with you, to drive drunk.

Then ban cars.
Or go the Germany route. Make it harder to get a license. Get rid of ridiculous speed limits, and if you drink and drive. Lose ur license for life.
They let old people with slow reaction and bad vision drive.
They let young teenagers with out any experience drive.
They let people with epilepsy drive.
They let people hooped up in all types of pharmaceuticals drive.
Last accident I got in, guy didn't even know English and did a left turn from the rt lane. That fricker was given a license and insurance.
But you are right. We should all be afraid of reauxltide and not the hundreds of thousands of shite drivers.

I usually don't comment stuff like this. For the most part I "get(understand)" where many different spheres of folk are coming from, and I pride myself on not judging....
But I swear you come across as the stereotypical young guy that just really really honestly believes he knows more than he really does.
And I'm not saying this is such a horrible thing because everyone finds that stage to an extent.
But you don't know you don't know
You seem like a smart fella, you'll eventually get wise, we all do

I feel like the limit line is BS and some people are more fricked up at .04 than others are at .12
Do I drive drunk? No. I have driven after a few drinks? yeah.

It's not worth it. Cops can still take you to jail if you blow under. All they have to say is they felt you were less safe to drive. You might get it dropped. Judge and court don't care. You are paying them whether you are guilty or not.
