i have. i went purely as a tourist, to port-au-prince. i got very sick and shat myself the whole time. i spend a few days trying to ask around for a tv to watch the superbowl. i failed. it was the year manning was sacked for a safety in the first play and i missed it.

the power was out every day for part of the day and my hotel only had hot water for an hour every morning. there was no place i could find that had safe food. so i was always sick. there apparently is an area where there are white people and a burger king. i never saw it, and i was the only white person i saw for the week i was there.

it was terrible. worse than anywhere i have been, and i have been to slums in caracas and mumbai and some real proper shitholes.

why is it bad? complicated. i just am commenting on how shite it is.
