To me bc of what Popeyes is and what it sells the things that people in this thread are talking about are somehow not as big of deal than at other fast food places but that's just me. It is a South Louisiana started fried chicken place. You should know what you are in for before you go.

Because the majority of their customers are just as ratchet as the employees

Got home opened the box it was full of extra fries and 5 tenders. Almost every time I get Popeyes it is a good experience. But I’m pretty easy going.

Same experiences here in Houma.

Most of the times I order the blackened which as to be cooked to order most times.

The fatty I usually am orders the 14 tenders and 2 large sides for 20 bucks. That way I have lunch and dinner.

I usually get a few extra tenders thrown in there since they can’t seem to count to 14.

You can either have good food and shitty service at Popeyes or shitty food and good service at Chick-fil-A. Take your pick

We had open right down the road from us right before COVID. I had high hopes being in a predominantly white and affluent area that it wouldn’t suck. I just checked the reviews on google. 2.2 stars with 450 reviews.

I would give it about a 3. It does suck and service is awful but every now and then it’s ok

It’s the culture. Every Popeyes I’ve been to in other countries has been fantastic. The Popeyes in Abu Dhabi is as fine a dining experience as you could wish for from a fast food joint

’m sure they get lucky and hire a decent one now & then, but Popeyes easily has the worst overall employees of any service industry business.

The Popeyes in Tulare, CA has some good employees. In and out of the drive-thru under 2 minutes every time I've been there.

Seriously, I think these companies never focused on customer service. You go to a chickfila and you are going to get good CS.

Years ago I took a sports marketing class and long story short, we had to do a project in which we had to pick a company that sponsored sporting events. I did chickfila. I got to interview the head of marketing over the phone. Nice guy. He was pumped because I picked them and was from a SEC school.. Anyway, he kept talking about how important CS was and has been since day one.

Sort of like how Buccees focuses on clean bathrooms.. You go to a Buccees and the bathroom is going to be clean, but any other gas station, its just not really their priority.. I think thats the case with all of the older places like Popeyes, BK, McDonalds, Tacobell, etc.

Those little things make a difference. It always starts with management and management manages on how they are trained.. So they probably just hire people and manage with a "all I need is for you to get the orders to the people" attitude. The managers don't give a frick so the employees don't give a frick. It has to be because its the same shite service and attitude and it seems to be at just about every location.
