Looking at 2024 stats, Mobile has a lot mess murders than the Louisiana cities.

Mobile - 37 murders / 182k people = 20 murders/100k

Shreveport - 50 murders / 178k people = 28 murders/100k

Baton Rouge - 83 murders / 220k people = 37.7 murders/100k

New Orleans - 124 murders / 364k population = 34 murders/100k

Before you say the obvious, the demographics aren't too different:
Mobile - 52% Black
Shreveport - 56% Black
Baton Rouge - 51% Black
New Orleans - 55% Black

Because Louisiana boys are tougher and harder…now go back to your little safe space in Alabama before you get shot up in the dirty south

Pride in having the first Mardi Gras makes people more peaceful

Look at metro population-
Mobile- 411,640
Shreveport-393,406
Baton Rouge- 870,569
New Orleans- 1,270,530

Comparing mobile to br and Nola isn’t apples to apples.

Nola had a decent year so it’s not hard to believe. BR sucks.

Idk, their mayor is a white male republican.

Anyone from mobile can correct me, but I doubt this guy ever went to console the family of a kid that carjacked someone.

If it weren’t for those damn statues.

Mobile has its issues but is a pretty under rated spot in the Gulf South region, especially for 20-30 something demographic.

Mobile metro is less than 500k? Wow, looking at their downtown/skyline you’d think it would be a lot larger.
