Why does it smell like sulphur in BR?

Staying at a hotel near Siegen and I-10 and not down here often. It smells like fireworks and vinegar.

What's the deal?

...this is not a pick on BR post, I love it here, but did something happen?

I went to a Walmart and it smelled like the French quarter
There were dirty diapers outside in the parking lot

At least two fires tonight. Maybe they mixed some chemicals in with the flames.

FWIW I'm near Sherwood & Coursey and can smell it too. Thought it was a natural gas leak somewhere in neighborhood.

If it smells like Sulphur in BR, then does that mean it smells like Port Allen in Lake Charles?

I just got in the driveway, got out and was like wtf? Smells like a rainy day when the chemical plants are dumping all the chemicals in the air because they know DEQ won't be testing.
