No painting...no contract work...maybe some lawn care if they have an F150 and a trailer.

Is there something I’m missing? Is this the path to carefree riches?

Are you saying pressure washing isn’t a real job?

A pro pressure washing trailer is like $12k from northern tool.

Charge $200 a hpuse and get some commercial jobs.

Just takes a work ethic.

My place of employment went through like 5 pressure washing companies before someone finally showed up. Its not because they werent paying, those dudes were just that busy.

It’s always on the side. Like the part time hustle....except they don’t have a full time hustle.

It’s pretty satisfying to blast some grime off.

I doubt it's about riches or laziness. I know a guy who did some pressure washing here and there while he was in grad school. I think the appeal is: it's pretty easy to drum-up some business, the hours are flexible and it is honest work that accomplishes something people want. It's not carefree, but the stress is pretty mild.

If you don't need a 7 digit income to get by, it can be a decent way to pay some bills without the level of investment of higher paying job.

Based on the downvotes I’ve insulted the honor of some pressure washers.

I can tell you why. There are absolutely no barriers to get started doing this business. There’s no regulatory board that decides if you get your license, there’s no fees, no union dues, and you can do it on your own. People laugh at it, but I know a guy who clears $3000/month doing that on the weekends.

He makes $1200 a weekend?

That’s assuming he’s paying taxes.

Soft wash seems to be where it is now. I do admit it is amazing, had my roof done about a month ago and it looks brand new.
