For those that have been around for a while, you'll remember about 5 years or so ago that there'd be weekly threads making fun of minority groups for getting butthurt over lack of representation in media.
The common thought around here was that no normal person would ever get upset about the race, gender or orientation of a fictional character in a show/movie and you'd have to be straight up nuts to even notice the race etc of people in commercials.
My how times have changed.

What's wrong with interracial marriage?
I'm a white guy married to a black woman and in our 15+ years I've never experienced any negativity from anyone about our marriage...until this bizarre thread with people saying interracial marriage is not normal.

That's pretty much the same situation as my wife and I. You must not venture over to the Poli or OT boards often. They melt about interracial couples in tv and/or commercials at least once a week.

Nothing, if you plan on allowing television commercials to teach your kids about the world around them. The reality will come later in their lives.
