I don't unfriend people that much, unless their birthday pops up and I have no idea who they are.
I do "unfollow" or hide people that sell Thrive and Advocare or post non stop crap from far right and left 'news
pages.

I see a bunch of the MLM stuff. Several of them are for women's nails and make-up. I guess these are the modern day Avon ladies. Though I have one classmate from high school that sells dildos and vibrators on facebook.

I unfollow people who want me and everyone else to read about the things/activities that they do they they and 11 other people of their 1,000 friends care about. I unfollow people who put up those self-made signs/sayings. I only unfriend if the person is just someone who shouldn't have a voice to begin with.

I have one friend who got an internship and later a job with ESPN. I had to hide his status updates because 90% of everything he posts is some kind of brag about working at ESPN.

I have another friend who posts nothing but articles on racism and Hilary Clinton.

The only Unfriend i was forced to make was related to a divorce when one of them didn't like a picture I posted of the other one on a first date at a Saints game. Then he used someone else's acct to still look at my wall and texted me some comments so I had to block the friend. Too much drama!

Block comes in more handy to me than Unfriend, people from the past that need to stay in the past such as ex boyfriends, my husband's ex wife and her new husband, etc.

Conversely, I've been Unfriended once and she told me why before she sent me off into never never land: I made a comment about not wanting to attend a friggin high school reunion due to bad memories from those days. Then she was behind me at a carwash after that and she avoided eye contact LOL.

I certainly did not care that she, or anyone else, banishes me. Everyone has their reasons for using FB.

I "Unfollow" all day long. It's my feed, I want to read what I want to read and not have others conflicting opinions aggravating me.

Another thing I've done is checked off a few Friends into the Acquaintance category. Some photos and posts are meant just for those I know really well.

I've blocked people who constantly post about religion and politics...including a real close friend from college who practically all he posted was anti-abortion stuff. I hated doing that, but God, who wants to hear about abortion? My in-laws are pretty bad about reposting political stuff, but I don't know if I could get away with blocking them -- I'm afraid I would miss something important.

People I unfriend are folks I have nothing in common with, like people I went to high school with or got drunk with at a party 10 years ago. If you're in that category and you post annoying shite, I'll bounce you with the quickness. I don't want to hear about the current douchebag you're dating or your ALL CAPS COMMENTARY on racial issues.

I have unfriended people over nonstop anything: politics, self promotion, solicitation. Yes, Rodan and Fields, etc. I simply unfollow people I actually am friends with, who do the political thing or too many animal posts. You know, lost dog, cat needs a home, etc.

A good friend of mine for Lafayette (I have known her all my life) posted "Roll Tide" 5 minutes after LSU lost to Bama in 2012. She is a local Lafayette (ULL) LSU hater. I replied to her post "Unfriending you now" and I did.

I am still FB friends with her husband, who also graduated with me. I saw her at out class reunion in 2013. The meeting was cordial but sort of chilly.

I don't regret doing it one bit

I unfriendly someone recently. Dude was an idiot. Ex cop. Constantly defending police brutality but would also be the first person to talk shite about Obama and the new world order. Plus I think he was a pedo

I just don't understand why people here are like this. LSU is the largest flagship university in the state and everyone just needs to accept that. People are blown away if I say I follow both.

With that said, mid-level marketing is the quickest way to get deleted. Closely followed by the fox news political crowd.

You know why people unfriend me.

I'm seriously paranoid about being murdered as a result of Facebook.
