Put themselves in the position to be accused of sexual harassment?

It’s just their culture. Us normies aren’t supposed to know or ask about it.

Lots of regular people sexual harass. They're just not as good at it, obviously.

It's all about power. Most famous people/celebrities aren't use to being told no.

Famous people probably aren’t used to having people tell them “no”, and probably have larger egos than the general population.

Not really a stretch that famous guys think they can have any woman they want, and act accordingly.

Obviously not.

But people who are watched to far greater extents than the normal populace, it seems, would be extra careful.

I think they just like to push the boundaries and see how far they can go.

Few reasons.

They feel invincible.
They have more opportunities to be fricked up on drugs and around women who are fricked up on drugs.
Women have more incentive to lie about them harassing them.

Weinstein was gatekeeper to movie jobs. Hot women are gatekeeper to sex.

Famous people can be gatekeepers to something valuable.

The key is if you are a gatekeeper you have power.

When are women going to give up part of their gatekeeper of sex power so men can be equal with them.

Downvote away, but I'd venture to say that 75-80% of all sexual assault claims are sex regret, and 80-90% of all sexual harassment claims are unwanted flirting.
