Decent restaurant + Baton Rouge does not compute.

To prove it is a real shrimp as opposed to some genetically created food product shoved into a mold and formed to look like a shrimp. (Hell, I dunno)

Decent maybe, first class, nope. Maybe you need to travel more.

What it boils down to, if you’re in a restaurant like this serving the shrimp with the tail on for presentation, then either (a) politely ask them for a finger bowl or wash cloth or whatever for your fingers when they check on you to see if everything is to you satisfaction, or (b) next time dining there order something different. Problem solved.

Do you order your steak pre cut into bite size pieces?

Admittedly, not a fan of tails on in pasta dishes

I either do (b) or (c) which is sacrifice 5% of the shrimp.

You're showing your arse by pretending like I was aimlessly bitching, asking people what I should do.

They do it, so you can grab the tail, while eating or dipping into cocktail sauce

It's really not rocket science type stuff

If you order seafood stew at a decent restaurant, you will have to pick through it.

I got a seafood stew at a decent Italian restaurant a few months ago and like 2/3 of the food was in shells.

It shows that it’s not processed shrimp when it has the tail on it.

Because it would be cheaper and less time consuming for the customers to do it?

It always hurts my heart to leave meat in the tail because I'm cutting it instead of picking it up like a Neanderthal.

I'd take those tails home in a to-go box and feed them, shell less, to the cat as treats. She loved them, digestive tracts and all.

I eat the tails as well on fried shrimp. Why not?
