A cell number, social media account, online alias will not allow someone to obtain my home address, my license plate number can.

Folks do the same with gun serial numbers. They say they have a 1947 Saginaw .30 caliber serial no. 349xxx.
It’s not like you can plug a serial number in a database and find out who owns the gun.
