Why do people put a space before their last punctuation ?

Never noticed that before .

Same reason people say “outta” instead of “out of”

Sometimes phones will (for some inexplicable reason) do it without you wanting it.

Definitely and iPhone thing where "double space input = ."

It bugs me too, especially because you have to intentionally do it. And if you're typing on a phone, most likely it will autocorrect a period if you space twice. So you have to cognizantly do it.

Just like capitalizing the First Letter Of Each Word When You Type. Bugs the shite out of me as well.

I hate that and when people put a period before a ! or ?. Used to see it on twitter and FB a bunch before I deleted mine.

Maybe you could use some Xanax. !

I do it with things that are written to be read aloud. It makes the punctuation easier to see for the reader in real time.

But in normal writing, nah.
