i have been to the ones in Hawaii, i love hawaii and its breath taking but the actual beaches if looking to lounge and just relax....thats not them
the carribean...ok i can give you that but the sand is better in florida gulf coast
mexico atlantic side...nope, beaches are small and not nearly as good imo. pacific side...not that great for actual swimming and water is cold af
other pacific islands- similar to hawaii, huge surf, sand is not nearly as nice and fluffy and hurts the feet, lots of coral and rocks etc. now if talking over water bungalow....little different but water is cold af

Because it is far more fun to be drunk and stoned on the beach than it is to be stuck in fricking Cincinatti working in whatever the hell people work in in Cincinatti....
I understand hating the beach itself...sand sucks.....but hating the state of Florida because its hot is more on you than Florida...if you did not know it might be hot in Florida in June

i plan to go to the med within next 8-10 years and prolly do South America within next 5
its not like i havent been to other places and 30A or the gulf coast is all i know. In fact almost always take at least 2 other vacations other than the gulf. But i do really like the gulf beaches especially when going with my kids.

which beach specifically? where do you recommend in South America that is great beach, safe to explore and lots to do
same with the beaches on the med, which ones
genuinely curious your recommendations.
like i loved everything about hawaii but would prefer better beach for sure. the black and red and the cliffs are all cool and beautiful but not really beaches you chill at.

Only time I go to the beach is to go surfing. I go to places like St.Augustine, Tampa or Orlando during the week since I am off work alot during those days.

If you go back to Hawaii, go to Oahu and stay at Turtle Bay. Absolutely amazing property with lots to do. Beaches are beautiful.

We usually stay on the north shore. Just a awesome place too see. Sandy Beach is beautiful also.

I disagree. I'll take Greers Ferry or lake Ouachita over a Florida beach 7 days a week. Hell I'll sit my happy arse in the Buffalo river before I go back to the beach.

I always heard the line in the Jimmy Buffett song "incommunicado" that was released 3 years before Algore created the internet, so i had no idea who either John Macdonald or Travis McGee was. Walking through the library one day, i saw a Travis McGee paperback and checked it out. Since then, I collected all of the series, and my goal is to read them through in one summer. I've never made it, but they are the perfect books for my Walter Mitty persona on a beach vacation.
