1. My dog rarely barks at anything at night. It would have to be something real serious.
2. Dogs can hear better, so having one nearby makes you feel safer.
3. Dogs are warm and snuggly, makes you feel cozy.
4. My dog doesn’t really bother me when I’m eating because I don’t feed him scraps from the table.
5. I have a fenced in yard, so when he wants to go out, I just open the door and let him.
6. The dog hair is a real problem and requires a lot of vigilant vacuuming.

I'd love if our dog slept in our bed. Sadly, I'm allergic.

I can hardly play with her for too long. I'll come away sneezing with red splotched on my arms.

I don't care. I love her.

Wow you are very passionate about dogs. I’m glad that out of all my friends, even the biggest dog lovers, none of them are as mentally unstable as you. You seem genuinely upset that some people don’t like dogs

Sounds like you make friends with people that don't train their dogs and / or are unclean people.

Get new friends I guess.

I disagree with your general stance on dogs as they are awesome.

However, it is a huge red flag to me when a woman sleeps in a bed with a dog the same size or bigger than her...or calls herself a dog mom.

Dog people are weird. Especially the millennials who insist on calling them "fur babies." Like no ... your dog is not equivalent to a human child.

This is aggravating and stupid. An animal is still an animal.!!ive heard it a million times and someone above said that they like dogs more than most people and their is something not quite right about that.

I like dogs a lot. Actually been thinking of maybe getting one. A little schnauzer would be cool to have around and take on walks. I’ve historically been a cat person and I know that people think that’s weird, a straight guy that likes cats more than dogs, but I like OWNING a cat more than dogs because I find them fascinating animals, and your on cat is amazing, other people cat aren’t the same. Cats are so low maintenance, litter box trained, groom themselves, don’t stink, etc. you can ignore them for long periods of time amd they’re fine with it. My cat jumps in my bed anytime he wants to, but rarely does his sleep in the bed with me. He has his own bed and sleeps in it. I may wake up to him having cuddled next to me, but he’s gone when I wake up.

You sound like one of those people who have cats that go crap in a box, roll it around and then jump up in bed with you to paw your face. Gross.

No that’s disgusting as well. I have enough love and companionship in my life that I don’t need to clean up animal shite to feel complete

That’s cute! He doesn’t look like he has fur either. My OP was more directed to large dogs like labs

100% agree with OP. We have two smaller dogs. They ruined the carpet in my daughters room by marking territory everywhere. (we have a doggy door and the can go outside whenever they want) Would never let them sleep in our bed. We have a pillow that they sleep on in the kitchen.

I like them, but there is always some issue. You constantly have to worry about them getting out of the backyard. If you go on vacation, you have to have someone watch them or board them. Eating my toddlers food if she sits it down on the coffee table. Pissing in the house, hair everywhere. Barking at nothing late at night.

Lets quit pretending that there are no issues with owning dogs.
