Why do people knock socks with sandals?

I work from home and was wearing only my wool socks yesterday when UPS arrived with a large delivery. Instead of taking the time to put on my boots, I slipped on my Berks and ran downstairs.
When I got back to my desk, I was like...my feet feel great!
And they don’t look any worse than some of the shite folks wear.
Why the hate?

Sandals are called "open toed shoes" because they're intended to have the wearers toes open to the world.

Socks with sandals is great. Usually only black people do it. Why would you want to get your feet dirty and sweaty? I’m convinced black people have more sense than us honkies. Kinda like handshakes vs fist bumps. Fist bump is way more practical you don’t pass germs and get dick germs from the nasty honkie that was just jerking it in the bathroom. Socks and sandals are the same way, but white people refuse to do it right.
