Why not just wear regular shoes?
I wear sandals during the summer because they are much cooler than socks and shoes. I put them on at home when I have socks on because I can just slip them on easily.

Off topic - anyone remember those girls shoes in the early 80’s that had a hole through heel?? Like a donut. There was this girl in my junior high that was so fat the hole in the shoe was squashed almost closed. For some reason that pic made me think of that.

Check this: I wear crocs to work around the house. Had a cut on my foot once and had to wear a sock over the bandage to keep it on.

Unless you are at the beach, a pool, or you are a Roman Legionary or Jesus Christ don’t wear sandals.

At the Grand Canyon one time, I watched a German guy wearing bermuda shorts, sandals and knee length black dress socks get precariously close to the edge and peer down, all while singing "home, home on ze range."
