My quote was a spoof on a famous Vietnam era quote about destroying a village in order to save it.

Except a village isn't the same as a single animal. Yes, more than a single animal is killed when you are talking about things like deer and ducks, but it's still not the same concept.

If someone can figure out a way to generate billions of dollars for wildlife and fisheries conservation with no hunting involved, I'd be open to listening to that. However, it must include complete elimination of killing of wild animals--including the wolves, cougars and bears that eat livestock; the bears that invade your neighborhoods; and the coyotes that eat your cats and dogs. Those animals will be needed to keep ungulate and other "prey" populations at healthy levels, and no function of human society can be allowed to disrupt that.

Oh, and no one can kill the deer eating your mom's flowers either.

How shady is the African government/wildlife federations that sanction these hunts? They probably put Louisiana politics to shame.

No legal hunting of snow leopards. Elephants destroy farms that feed locals. They have to be thinned.

Other than that hunters don't do any more for conservation than the average NYC liberal piece of shite, unless they are involved in conservation educatio

Do you even Pittman-Robertson son? You may need to do some reading and then get back to us. Hunters are also conservationist when animal numbers are low to near extinction levels as evidenced by the American wild turkey and duck populations.

You folks get on here and start talking out of your arse about shite you know little to nothing about.

You realize that without conversation efforts by hunters they’d all be poached by now...right?

How many animals are saved by people trying to talk?

Not knowing the experience that goes along with the hunt, I can now understand why people do this, but how many people, would you say, go on these hunts and not have this experience.. Their main goal being.. just to say they killed a lion or elephant

Honestly, very few. The reason I say that is because the hunts are operated by outfitting services who want to make sure hunters come back. They do this by exposing the hunters to as many activities and as much local culture as possible. The majority of folks who go, do so as a group of friends are with family members and don't go after elephant or lion.
