You really think “Just give us large sums of money for nothing” is effective fundraising tactic? And that would be sustainable? Really?

So why don’t you just buy your tags and licenses and not actually go hunt and fish, exactly?

Because these African poachers are dirt poor and have an average IQ that is considered retarded by western standards, it’s not hard to figure out.

I am sorry, the conservation angle is just a cover to kill something they consider a trophy and prestigious in the circles they run.

This isn't true.

On an individual level, maybe. But hunting creates a market where conservation is necessary or the market will die off.

Just know this: that animal is getting killed. The only question is who kills it and if the preserve can benefit from the death

Truth.

The hunting community is littered with examples of protecting and growing populations (while continuing to kill from those populations), and people still shite on them

I have no desire to kill a giraffe, but I’m not against someone doing it legally

well the average human is worthless and dumb, whereas the average snow leopard is pretty fricking cool. So I'll side with the leopards and giraffes here.

Older Elephants bulls will start doing infancide so the village will need to kill it or they will destroy many young elephants so the village sells the hunt for this bull. Meanwhile get off you high damn horse and see the issue is not hunters but chineese poachers but guess who owns affrica now

I can't say that I agree with killing of critically endangered animals. However, in my experience, the only people that truly give a shite about animals enough to spend their money to preserve them are hunters. There has to be some way to leverage that to preserve various species.

problem is.. the ones poaching the elephants are the ones who are "conserving" them. double dipping so to speak. better than full on extinction though.

People who hunt for food are great. Deer/Duck/Fish, etc.

People who kill rhinos and giraffes and bears and elephants are humongous pieces of shite.

Not knowing the experience that goes along with the hunt, I can now understand why people do this, but how many people, would you say, go on these hunts and not have this experience.. Their main goal being.. just to say they killed a lion or elephant?

I bet I could find a shite ton of African villagers who would disagree with you. They are the ones who get the meat from these kills
