Aerodynamics, padding, mosture wicking, pockets to carry shite, etc.

The clothing was part of what held me back from getting a real road bike for years. After the first ride it made sense. Yeah it may look a little ridiculous but IDGAF.

So then get a good pair of cycling shorts and a DriFit type of tshirt. No one wants to ride around in a onesie that probably has little foot pockets sewn in at the bottom. How does one choose the outfit of the day? Wonder Bread? Yoohoo? Captain America? Dumbasses…

They should have one with a picture of a blank license plate so someone can Sharpie their plate number on your body when it’s stuck to the front bumper.

Thank goodness I’m mindful of cyclists and share the road. Always.

There are other ways to admit to being lazy and jealous of others with active hobbies. Also, mind your own fricking business with what people choose to do with their bodies. Some of you are pretty damn hypocritical screaming about freedom but then you wanna judge others for their choices.

Post a pic of your bike riding tights. Is it a one piece?

Yeah, it is called a jersey. Also has a zipper for temp control, pockets on the back so stuff doesn't fall out, and usually a silicon hem so it doesn't ride up allowing the old fat men driving by to get a peak at my butt crack.

I know those racing bikes are light, but that’s impressive.

This. Although I don't ride as much as I used to I learned quick that having the correct gear is a must if you are doing it long distance. Some of the cycling bibs I have were 300+ dollars a pair and worth the money. Try to ride a bike for 100 miles or more with no padding and loose fitting clothes. You would be so chafe at the end all over your body you would have to fill the tub up with Boudreaux's and just lay in it. Also, tight clothing reduces drag and it does make a difference. So now you know why we look so ridiculous.
