And we shouldn't get that IMO. It's not a crisis if you want to spend money that you earned on travel, a fast car, gym membership, etc.

This is especially true if you have delayed your own gratification for some of these things since you may have been a teenager or younger. That's my take on middle-aged men and their cars. We've been looking at media, even magazines back in our time, about cars or trucks or whatever. We've dreamed of them, wanted this or that vehicle with this or that engine, and these or those wheels since we're twelve years old. And MOST men put it all on hold to marry, raise a family, and what have you.

Right on the age. My experience with one she was 39-40 with a kid in college. She was the other way. She had been so " repressed" a housewife mostly , ex was a doctor who was screwing the nurses. Had a social circle that hung out at MCC.

She went wild with her new freedom. Hit the bars, loved to drink and smoke and do the occasional recreational drug and she started hitting the singles scene. She was a blast.....I was 24 and she could wear your arse out.....then we would go out. Liked art galleries.... and her alimony from her ex.

They all seem to follow a very similar path...they either start swinging with their husbands or start cheating on them. Then they usually get very into fitness. That wears off and they all of a sudden become very religious. And then they start falling into the latest social craze...

You skipped over the breast-augmentation step.

You must have me confused with Chadboy504 because I don't drink but maybe 1 or 2 days a month if even that. He's the one who ahs to get drunk and watch his kids at the batting cage. Now what specific question are you obsessing about? You really need to move on I would assume

Women's reality consists almost entirely of emotions/feelings. The clothes she's wearing aren't real - how the clothes she's wearing make her feel is what's real.

She's trying to share her life/reality with you, so she needs you to experience the feelings she's experiencing. If you reject that, you might as well be rejecting her entire existence.

Now, don't get me wrong - we don't give a shite about any of that stuff and I'm not saying you have to. You just have to make her...wait for it...FEEL...like you do.

Note: It's not "make her THINK you care." It's make her FEEL you care, which is actually much easier since it doesn't have to be real (which is the whole point...reality to them isn't reality, it's how they feel about it). She could sit there and know you don't care one bit, but still FEEL like you do.

You young bucks need to heed this man's words. This is some next level truth he's spouting here.

I wish I had known this when I was new to the game. It's ALL about how they feel. We keep trying to approach things from a logical standpoint. We try to THINK through ideas, concepts, problems, etc.

The female brain rarely does this. It's mainly driven by feelings. How they FEEL is their reality. If you keep that in mind when dealing with them it's much easier to anticipate what they want from you. Because Lord knows they won't come out and tell you, but they WILL expect you to know.

A couple of my friends from college decided late 30's that they wanted to live the Sex and the City lifestyle while they still had some value to do that. So, they got divorced. I do think they regret that decision now.

Ahh, there is nothing like good old fashion loneliness.

One of two things has transpired;

A. OP’s wife is fricking someone else.

B. OP’s wife has suggest they take up swinging, which means she’s already fricking someone else.

This, from my observation, is happening WAY before 39.
