Why do kids cry when they wake up from sleep or nap?

Very annoying. Just talk,yell,play,or something else other than crying. Be happy you got a 2 hour nap or a 10 hour sleep

We have to wake up to a schedule. Kids can sleep in as long as they want. Why pout about it

I'm assuming you talking about infants and toddlers.

Probably because they are hungry.

This isn't the norm. Many babies just coo/talk to themselves

Maybe you aren't hearing them so they have to cry for you?

Our little Ginger Kitten is less than a year old a wakes up somewhat fussy. It's no big deal, She is just a bit disoriented and trying to adjust to the transition of being awake.

It's no big deal. I wrap her in a blanket and we go sit on the porch and check out what is going on then while she quietly sits in my lap and fully awakens.

Just create a gentle transition and distraction like above and it should be no problem.
