Everyone should have two permanent residences. One up north for June through August, one down South for the rest of the year.
Or we should all just live in San Diego where it's near perfect year round.

Yeah, we have had snow almost every day for the past week in ohio. And Weds and Thurs will be around 0 to single digits for a high and -30 wind-chill. The last 3 winter's were mild tho. I got 15 more years until I can hopefully retire and live down south for the winter

Cold weather fn sucks.
I get pissed when it drops below 50 in the South LMAO

Oh, it's pretty....but it's hot....and has mosquitoes...only has 2 seasons....sorry, it's just another nice vacation spot.

Moisture inside your nose freezes when you inhale and thaws when you exhale. Weird feeling.

In PHX metro there are tons of snowbirds that have two residences. Most are from the Midwest or Canada. Lots of permanent transplants from the Midwest as well here.

4 years, haven't been bit. I like the heat, The gulf is 10 minutes from my house. Low crime, wealthy. Yeah, it's awful. You can keep the snow, I will enjoy the beach, year-round.

What does “up north” mean? Not all of up north is the same. Some places have extreme cold and bad heat waves.

I would have a winter home in the south
When my grandfather retired from the railroad they bought a small house on a lake in MN and a nice house in TX. For 20 years they would jump from one another winter to summer. Best of both worlds. They sold their lake cabin a few years ago due to age but I have great memories of going up there in mid august and waking up to 50 degrees.

Ya. Or if you're fat.

Is there good trout fishing in MN? Not pike or musky.

I want to do something similar, but I want a little better white tail hunting than what western states offer.

No shite, huh? That whole area from Port Charlotte to Naples is my choice for retirement. If I have a choice when the time comes.

Give me 97° heat any day over that madness.

Yeah, 'cause the North doesn't have any rednecks.

There are many places up north with lots of culcha, and in many places it is worse/more toxic than what exists down south.
