I've never had an issue. I think most girls would prefer a guy be taller, but for most it's not make or break.
It's a genetic tendency. Women are hardwired to go for guys that are bigger, taller, more athletic and better looking. It's certainly not the only factor, but if choosing between two equal men, women will choose the taller of the two the vast majority of the time.
I'm 5'7"....and 1/2. I've never had any issues. Even with taller women, it hasn't been an issue. It does seem to be more of an issue when a guy is significantly shorter. I've never done an experiment, but 5'5" seems to be the cut off.
But don't despair if you're not tall. Women are whores, and there's more than one way to get into their pants other than from above.

My SO is 5'10 and loves that I'm 6'2 and muscular. I'm not judging you because you like short women. It's clearly your thing.
