Not on an individual basis but it's definitely the most harmful to society, overall.

People that deal with security and crowd control at different events can probably vouch, but a drunk crowd isn't very easy to deal with compared to many illegal drugs. A crowd that's consumed weed, mdma, or psychedelics is much easier, and all have less physical dependence.

That's because it's used by so many. But heroin and crack are far more dangerous on an acute basis.

Jesus turned water to wine but I don't recall him ever turning salt into crack cocaine.

There are multiple studies and reports out there that show just how bad alcohol is. People regurgitate heroin and crack and meth and etc etc is worse, but they have never once studied or read anything on the subject, they just assume this based on the illegality and DARE classes as a kid

Having worked in an er we saw far more people come in with strokes and mi's from crack than alcohol. I saw far more deaths from heroin overdose than alcohol poisoning.

it's doubtful you can be the guy that only bangs heroin or meth once in a blue moon.

Making something illegal is going to lead to this. Far less regulation and far more rough people using it as compared to a legal substance

Make alcohol illegal again and see what happens. You will have joke blows dying left and right from buying a poison batch of shine from their shithead neighbor

From the same study you cited..."Heroin, crack, and crystal meth were the most harmful drugs to the individual, while alcohol, heroin and crack were the most harmful to others."

So on an individual basis alcohol is more dangerous to society. That is my point. And shouldn't that be what we are the most worried about when making a law?

Yeah, I'll drink a glass of wine every evening while the other guy takes a bump and see who can outlive who.

One glass of wine vs. one bump of coke is probably a wash.
