It was only a thing with the Brits prior to Covid. I only ever heard it from them before. It annoys me that it caught on here.

it’s inaccurate to call the Covid shot a vaccine. It’s simply a shot, or as some commonly call it, a jab.
For the sake of authenticity it is inaccurate to say Covid. The WHO and the CDC refuse to this day to use the standard naming conventions for the virus: Wuhan SARS virus. They changed the system rather than associate with China just like they changed the definition of vaccine.

My scientific reasoning is that a baw feels like their 3 inch pecker grows to 4 inches when they type jab. Before covid I had never seen it used.
always nice to have input from a true COVIDIAN

its was easier for the front line heros like LSUNurse to say ‘the jab’ audibly while triple masked fighting to save grandma
don’t forget….”stacking dead bodies in the ally behind the hospital”

Where we say “shot” ( in reference to needles in arms) the British say “jab”. Not sure why it left the Isles but that’s why

Rafe Hollister was the first anti vaxxer against a jab. Watch till the end. lol

Blame it on Brits with bad teeth.

Technically, it does not meet the definition of a vaccine.
and I think they changed the definition around 2019. I know our Taber's from early 90's has the "real" definition.

Why did people start calling the covid vaccine ‘the jab’?
There were other names that didn't catch on.

And when everyone noticed that they were naming every strain after the location it was first detected, EXCEPT the original, they switched to Greek letters.
Then they conveniently skipped Xi. In a massive self own, Omicron got us out of the pandemic...the one that would have been called Xi if they put science first and Winnie the Pooh's fee fees second.

It’s a British thing. It was adopted here

Using a less formal name for the vaccine fit the agenda of those denying its effectiveness.

Because "death serum" was already taken
