I assume entergy has a preset list they follow for these situations.

You would think they would not cut places like Valero with no warning.

it’s better there when there isn’t power so you don’t have to see it. At least you can imagine you’re somewhere else that way.

Maybe they should do these planned outages elsewhere and leave Southeastern Louisiana the frick alone. We’ve been through enough!

The neighborhoods chosen can't be a coincidence.
less prone to violence and less effect on the hunt for the 5 remaining escapees

I highly doubt they will shut it down anytime soon.

I think they extended it another 20 years a few years back.

I still think we need more nuclear reactors in our mix of power generation. We just have to find the right balance of risk and location if one of these goes Chernobyl or the spent fuel is misused for nefarious purposes.

Also, hydroelectric needs more use. How many rivers and streams could be used to harness even more power? I wonder if we could build a diversion/hydroelectric plant along the Mississippi River to solve 2 problems. Coastal land loss and power generation. I know there is one by Old River.

This. I never understood why we don’t use the power of the Mississippi to get cheap power like in Tennessee

Picked a bad day too go to the Greek fest. They cut the power and everything went credit card only.
Sad that it was intentional.

Are they owned by entergy?

Have they said what caused it to go offline?
