DAMN, nola really must be a shithole if this is true, because frick dfw's perpetual road projects that have been going since before i was born.

Change your logo from LSU to UT. Keep your arse in Texas. We don't want you in Louisiana.

FYI Born and raised in BR, lived in NOLA for 9 months, lived in Lafayette for a summer for an internship and just moved to The Woodlands, TX (30 minutes north of Houston) area a year and a half ago:

I've only been to Dallas once for a weekend, so I can't say much about what's great about it.

But topping BR/NOLA is nothing to brag about. Outside of having a huge edge in seafood prices, quality, and knowledge on how to cook it, BR/NOLA couldn't hold a candle to any big city IMO.

High crime rates, awful local governing, hippies/SJW, lack of things to do besides get plastered, job market, etc.

I would live in Lafayette in a heart beat before I'd ever live in NOLA or BR again.

Cork Screw BBQ in Spring, TX is hands-down the best Q I've ever had. A buddy of mine has eaten at all the big-time famous places all over Texas (Killians, salt lick, Franklin's etc.) and he still swears by Cork Screw. I've had Memphis BBQ and it is horrible. The meat is bland and low quality. The places in Texas use the highest grade, all natural beef and you can taste the difference.

DFW only sucks because that's where the Cowboys reside. Other than that I'd say it's a no-brainer that it tops BR/NOLA.

Has anyone tried to argue to the contrary of this? There's not really an argument.

I guess not. I have no connection to Texas or Louisiana, but any person without bias would take Texas 7 days a week.

I do not understand why people come to a Louisiana based board to post stuff like this. Do you feel better about yourself now? You said an area with 6.6 million people have bigger roads and schools and more money than a place with 2 million people. Who knew????

If having loops are how you define success, if having material items is how you define happiness... then yeah, sure, you will get no argument from me.

Many of us have other measurements, though.
