The land of chain restaurants, strip malls, and service roads. Devoid of any history or character. A plastic place. I'll pass.

Hell, you could argue Lafayette > NOLA because of all the trash and hippies in New Orleans. Lafayette has their share of bike riding hippies, but at least they're not getting killed by bullets flying in the air.

Razoo's still open Dallas....?
It's funny, you'll never see a Dallas restaurant in New Orleans, but you'll see a New Orleans "style" restaurant in Dallas...

How do you expect to pay for all of that?
I haven't lived back at home (Westbank) since 2005. I guess I forgot the way of thought back at home.

funny you say that. I live like 5 minutes from one hahahaha.
But there are plenty of legit high quality restaurants in uptown Dallas, Frisco, Las Colinas areas.

All the statue threads were ruining my morning. I look to the OT for anarchy in life.

Texas is all about beef. The rest of the south is all about pork.
Pork is easy. Beef is hard to do right. But if you find a place that does beef right, it's awesome.

Lived in Dallas for a few years. Nice enough place and has a lot of modern conveniences, but it's very sterile.
Tollways, outdoor malls, cookie cutter suburbs...devoid of any interesting history outside of a few X's on Elm street. It's basically Anywhere, USA.
It's also the birthplace of the 30k millionaire;
The wannabe cowboys and cowgirls that wear boots to one of the hundred brunch places Uptown that have the same overpriced mimosa and migas special.
I moved back to NOLA two years ago and haven't missed anything about Dallas, except Eatzi's.
