Wasn't like his a few decades ago, but yeah...men are as bad as or worse than women in office settings.

Men! We know how to be friends!

And usually when we have a problem we either exchange words and work it out or fight it out, shake hands later and can be friends in a week. Women hold grudges for years and never let it go. My fiancée hates some women that she doesn’t even know personally. And they’re not women I’ve hooked up with. Just ones that graduated with me or something that are actually cool people she could get along with but she won’t give ‘em a chance. Yet she is close friends with girls I used to frick, and she knows I fricked them in the past. I don’t get it

The COO at my old company said in a meeting that he wished he could hire only men because he was tired over the women in the office fighting over Senior and Junior titles in an office of like 15 people. He also was on marriage number 4.

We’ve had an issue with a couple females in our office lately. All the guys get along fine, but those girls start shite with everyone.

Ive gotten to the point where I just want to get to work and go in my office and lock the door. If someone knocks, I wait to hear who it is. If it’s someone I dont want to deal with, “Hey im on a call.”

I've been in all-male shops that had more drama than I've ever seen in a coed shop Young males are as soft as Charmin these days

It’s not just the young males. Watch professional wrestling. Watch ESPN. Watch 24 hour “news” channels. Look at our nation’s political leaders. Old dudes LOVE drama.

So where did those kids learn it?

My theory is that it is because women view jobs VERY differently from men. For most men, a job is a means to an end. While many take pride in what they do, a job is valuable for its ability to pay the man enough to provide for his family. Men take pride in being able to be self-reliant providers.

For women, a job represents status. Even if the job is just working the checkout line at a gas station, that job is ALL about status. That's why men will get a job so they can f&%k while women will f&%k to get a job.

Because the job is all a part of their status, it becomes just another part of their lives that is entirely about one-upsmanship, showing off, and establishing pecking orders. As such, even if the job is crappy and undesired, the women working at such job will still aspire to be the top bitch. While men tend to treat their workplaces (meritocracy) a little differently from their social cliques (bro-ness), women treat it EXACTLY like High School.

They try to recreate the environment that they best understand how to compete in, one where there are popular girls and outcasts, try-hards and entitled little princess shits. They carry this into the workplace where NONE OF THIS BELONGS, and it inevitably steps on toes because it's impossible to get any real work done amidst the put-downs, show-offs, and subtle jabs meant to diminish one-another in order to gain status.

Not every woman treats the workplace in this way, but enough of them do that even attempting not to play is not an option. No matter what, an office with more than 1 woman will eventually become a soap-opera drama of cliques battling one-another to be at the top of the pyramid.

The sad thing is that when women are promoted into management, it doesn't get better, but rather EXPONENTIALLY WORSE! Rather than men who might assume they got the position due to merit, women assume it can only be because of office politics (since intrigue and in-fighting is all they know). Once men get into management, they tend to either accept the meritocracy or let the power go to their heads a little before they get checked. Women go scorched earth against every other woman whom they perceive to have EVER crossed them. They start using their management position to destroy their rivals and build up their friends. I'm not saying guys don't sometimes do this, but women seem to do this EVERY TIME WITHOUT FAIL!

So, yeah, women simply cannot peacefully coexist with one-another because they crave hierarchies and drama, and will invent both of those if none exist. They simply cannot imagine all as equals who can progress based on merit. There has to be a kiss arse pecking order. Their job isn't a means to an end, it's their IDENTITY, their STATUS, and their EGO.

My sister (no pics) says she much prefers working with men, rather than an office full of women

Hmmmm. Very interesting. I am a female and work with a group of highly educated professional men and women. It is the MEN that are the drama queens in our organization! The sky is falling every damn day. They are gossipy, cliquish, and bully the ones on the lower rungs of the ladder.

And, I bet they don't like that I'm their boss, but that too effing bad.

Way to go, boss bitch.

So who are the worse workplace crop dusters? Men or women?

I managed 65 females in a medical laboratory. All professionals, most degreed. Most very smart. Many women are "malicious achievers". They will undermine or sabotage anything they don't agree with, and compound that with the fact they are smart (talking about in the lab), they know how to do it without any evidence left behind. And have a lab person's personality, they always seek revenge. It is a tough situation being vastly outnumbered. Best thing to do is to be fair and straightforward and fire any malicious achiever you can when you can because you won't get a second chance.

Many people derive status from their job, it’s a universal for middle and and upper middle class people. It’s not for the lower class though.

I think this comes down to the difference in male and female competition strategies.

For men it’s rooted in force, and our ability to compel people to do what we want.

This comes from either personal strength, or our ability to use the groups strength, to coerce individuals.

We’re always sorting ourselves into hierarchies.

Women can certainly be violent, and use force, but they’re not as strong, and they’re much more physically vulnerable than even a weak man. And so their competition strategies rely on building social groups, to increase their power, and through manipulation, to achieve what they want.

Because direct confrontation is so physically risky, it’s avoided at all cost.
