differing levels of trust in the government

This is so hilarious

Black people want more cops, want more intrusive government. They are the opposite of what you white progs think.

Democrats think they speak for black people, and the disconnect is incredible

Tuskegee Study to Henrietta Lacks, I can’t blame them for not having trust in a medical treatment/vaccine pushed by the government.

How many of black people are even aware of this?

I'm betting less than 10%

We’re talking about their vaccine hesitancy and rightful distrust in the government pushing the vaccine. Apples and oranges.

Don’t derail this thread into a political pissing match with your generalization of the conversation.

Was it primary care physicians/nurses distributing these?

No. It has to do with the fact that they are not in a routine of getting primary, preventative care. Setting an appointment to get a vaccine would be an unfamiliar act to someone who doesn’t have any regular practice of seeking routine medical care. That is a challenge that has to be overcome.

Right wing disinformation discourages participation by introducing confusion.

You think only 10% of Black folks know about the Tuskegee Experiment and a woman that Oprah made an HBO movie on?

Come on, Roger.

They also trust the government enough to wear masks everywhere

Holy frick this is racist as hell.

This is the most demeaning statement anyone has made regarding black people on this site.

You can walk in grocery stores and get vaccinations.

Are you saying black people are too dumb to visit grocery stores?

Too dumb to use a computer.

(I don't want to get canceled for questioning Dear Leader.)

You literally tried to tell us they were too dumb to know what the Tuskegee Experiment is.

You saying it’s racist doesn’t make it racist. The same reluctance would apply to anyone who does not have a regular practice of getting primary medical care. But I think the data is pretty clear that participation rates for primary care are lower in black and Hispanic communities.

Today Show this morning had a reporter in Lafayette interviewing an elderly black woman over the phone and through the glass hospital door.

Reporter asks "Why didn't you get the vaccine?"
Lady: Because I was scared
Reporter: Do you regret not getting it?
Lady: sadly nods head

It was the most condescending bullshite I've ever seen to make the woman feel like shite for not following their rules. Unbelievable.

Yeah that sounds pretty bad.

That being said, I do wish more people would get one of the vaccines.

i wish the blacks would get vaccinated more bc you dont know if they are just wearing a mask for covid or a mask for mugging someone ....very confusing and adds to more nervous white folks ...who in turn , are then labeled superracists.... ...

That's a big stereotype, chief.

But probably true. I don't know of any vaccination station that doesn't require an appointment at least for the second dose.

Would you like to guess how many white people are aware of it? Probably less than 10%

White progressives make excuses and rely on histronics to keep black people under their power.

It's obvious, it's because the rural POC folks don't have access to Kinkos or Office Max.... haven't you heard?

The reluctance of pome people to set and keep two medical appointments (regardless of race or ethnicity) is a big reason why the Johnson & Johnson 1-shot vaccine was such an important part of the overall public health strategy. Even though it had a lower efficacy rate, you only needed the patient to participate one time. The protection is still pretty darn good.
