Why are universities with strong athletic curricula, looked down upon by some....

....while schools like Julliard are lauded?
Both specialize in teaching entertainers. Similar careers can lead to unbelievable wealth for the top few, and offer many moderate paying service jobs, while most end up pursuing other things. Both tap into Billion dollar industries.
I think you can compare the Football curriculum at schools like Alabama, LSU, and Ohio St. to the curricula at schools like Julliard.

LSU has more players in the NFL than any other college program.
I am measuring the success of graduates of the football curriculum. It really isn't that hard to understand.

And if a school for football ever is established, it can be considered a part of the same ilk.
But your argument is that Juilliard, a School for the Arts, is the same as Ohio State having a football “curriculum” (which is not a thing, by the way). So yes, it’s stupid.

Well does anyone major in “football”?
And plenty of people also go to college to meet someone rich to marry. It’s jokingly referred to as getting an “MRS” degree. Yet I’m pretty sure that’s not a curriculum.
What someone goes to college for and what they study or major in while they are there are not always the same thing. I don’t consider “getting drunk on most weekdays” a curriculum but it’s sure as shite one of the reasons I couldn’t wait to go to college.

"The Arts" comprises many different curricula. Ohio St. offers many different curricula.
The point was that some so-called intellectuals look down on university athletics while laud schools like Julliard.
You can't be so obtuse that you don't understand this.
