Why are there so many strange, loud noises around your area?

I live in the middle of several plants and a few blocks from a railroad track. There is noises going on all the time, but I never posted about them.

The real answer is we had 3" of rain New Year's Eve night and no one got to have their festivities. That left thousand of rounds of very large ordinance to set off...plus, an excess of tannerite that the yahoos didn't get to shoot at midnight. Most of the big booms I have heard since then have been folks shooting the tannerite bombs. They make a very big boom.

There's a restaurant about a mile and a half (as the crow flies) away that has an outdoor stage with country music.
