That’s just not true. North Louisiana is almost all public school, compare North Louisiana public school’s scoring to south Louisiana.

That’s not to say that they are ya know the greatest schools ever, but they’re not all that bad either.

there are a lot of really good rural public schools. Inner city schools are the pits. Not all, but most private schools are in big citys or suburbs in LA.

Because no parents ever want their children to attend the best schools possible? Nope. Just racism right?

Four of the top 10 school districts in the state are in the BR suburbs. It's really just the inner city schools that are bad.

I thought this was a discussion about the state, not the nation.

Because they don’t want little Johnny to have to interact with black people so they spend thousands each year to send him to a school blacks can’t afford

Not all are because of this but I bet at least 40-50% is because of this. That number is too high for this day and age imo

There are black kids in private school. I guess their parents are racist too?

Are you really asking Louisianan’s about private schools? Arkansas is the absolute pits for public schools. Pits. Google the Little Rock School District and it’s horrible record. It’s laughable and I know firsthand.

Being someone who is only 23, picturing Tara, Broadmoor, McKinley, and other inner city schools, as really good schools and having thousands of people at their football games on Friday night, baffles me. I had lots of coaches in high school that went to Tara or McKinkey back in the 70s and 80s, and they would talk about how good they were at football and how big of games Tara and Broadmoor were back in those days. Can’t really picture that today

You can sugar coat it and say it's for religious purposes or "quality of education", but let's not beat around the bush.

At best, you can say parents want their children to be taught alongside children of other parents who have life values similar to theirs.
