Kia actually does pretty well. Hyundai does decently well to and I'm going to be honest the Fords look really good at their price point as well. Fusions are some nice looking cars.

The new Civic is nice looking. I feel like the design of the rear took some cues from the Audi A7.

Do you think all of those subtle curves and lines are just as cheap to make as a flat body panel?

Yes

The logos and design add brand value and we see cars with a similar look as knock-offsof the premium product. Its similar with just about every consumer product.

I think the Mazda 6 does a good job of looking great for under $30k. The interior is well thought out too.

I saw a Maserati one day before I knew what a Maserati was. My reaction was "wow, what kind of car is that!?" (And this was a sedan... not some supercar).

The wheels and brakes on that Maserati cost more than a base Camry.

It is not the lines that make the car look good. It is quality materials that make it obvious that it is a quality vehicle.

The fact you are asking this may show a little bit on why you can't afford one. There is a reason it is more expensive.
What makes you think I cannot afford one just because I posed the question? You do not know anything about me.

You just compared a 30k car to a 100k+ car.
Obviously. But my question is does better looking styling make a vehicle more expensive to produce?

Have you considered that styling is subjective and perhaps more people prefer the Camry styling? It has been the number one selling car in America for a while now.

I agree about the Accord and Kia. Don't like the Ford.

But this also seems to be a more recent trend. There are some more stylish and affordable cars than there used to be.

You are right that I don't know you. I do know that if you had one of those vehicles then you would not want someone confusing it for a Camry. That I know for sure.

Absolutely. People often mistake aerodynamics for styling and that research in itself cost significant amounts of money which adds to production cost. Those lines are meant to serve dual purpose.

Toyota also makes th Lexus. Wouldn't be smart to make their Camry look as good as one of their luxury Lexus'.

Another day, another failed insult attempt from you.

But for funsies, where in the OP does he state he's ignorant?

...cars but at an affordable price? For example... why can they not make a Honda Accord look as good as an Audi or Mercedes?

It's just body styling... surely the styling doesn't make a car more expensive, does it?

So you are telling me that we are blind to what looks better and only go off of the brand name? So these cars are about equally as stylish?

IF the Mercedes you posted had always looked like the Camry you posted, you would likely think it is more stylish. It's grade school level psychology.
