There are several of these near me in Knoxville... haven't been yet though. The only Cane's is right by campus and I'm not dealing with that just to get a Cane's fix.

Gus' in Knoxville now too. You got all the chicken you could ever ask for in K-town.

From the SEC East but SEC West grad and live in a SEC west state now. It is not even close, the East States kick the shite out of the west.

Mustard bbq actually is potentially very good, depending on where you get it. But SC is just as much a vinegar bbq state as it is a mustard one.

I was going to say it is regional in SC like it is in NC. You will find mustard-based, vinegar-based and the vinegar-based recipes will have more tomato sauce the farther west you go just like NC.

We live in both SC and LA and taking family out of the equation both of us prefer SC either coastal or upstate to LA.

I've been meaning to check them out. They're real close to a nice beer spot where you can bring in your own food too.

I don't either. It's literally the shittiest BBQ you can find in the Cola area.

You are asking why a geographical area with mountainous terrain and beaches is more visually appealling than low lying swamp lands?

Are you simple?

My wife is from North Carolina. She talked up Bojangles so much, and man was I disappointed when I had it. Extremely mediocre

This thread has convinced me to skip over the Bojangle's.

And I've never been too impressed with Zaxby's.

Was it good at one time? Did it go down hill when they expanded. I know they have a lot of locations.

The fried chicken thing seems to be mainly what you grew up on. Living in different places it became clear that people preferred all sorts of chicken, Lee's, KFC, Church's, Bojangles, Popeyes, Chicken Delight, Mrs. Winners, Jollibee etc.

That said the best-fried chicken in the US is generally not found in a chain. For the true mouth orgasm of fried chicken, Ad-Hoc or Addendum in Napa is life-changing. Thomas Keller knows how to cook a bird.

I'm sorry but, love the place or hate it, Texas shits on any state in the SEC East.

Ya, no. I'd take North Georgia/Western NC/Far eastern TN over Texas any day of the week.
