I am a communist because I understand the dialectic and underlying superstructures of capitalist society.

I really don’t think we’re that far off in agreeableness on most of these. Universities are absolutely self-serving institutions. Want to dig a ditch for 12$ and hour? Better have a MS in Geology that costs 80-100k.

I’m just trying to make the point that millenials have been demonized and scapegoated. It’s just easy to look at the gender-queer non-binaries and say that’s all millenials. As another poster said in another post, those types are just the loudest, most obnoxious members of our generation. I still believe there is a such thing as a ‘silent-majorty’ and I long for the day when we stop falling for the commie con artist bullshite placated by the Bernies of the world

Anybody else think millennial were trolling the poll? I know if somebody asked me in a poll if Kim Jong Un was a hero, I would say yes just to frick with whoever asked that stupid question.

What's required to read now, fuels the fire as to why a child should dislike America.

Depends. My kids go to a conservative private school and aren't really exposed to that shite. But I understand that most are. I've already taught mine (twins) about taxes, making a monthly budget etc at 11.

Conservative private school means liberal now. There's no escaping children being indoctrinated

Man I don't know about that. I'll teach them at home either way. I'll cut them off if they become SJWs and will have zero guilt. I think some people are just shitty parents regardless of their income. I've already had conversations with them about personal responsibility, capitalism, taxation. I'm a pretty hardcore libertarian though

I went to Jesuit, with some of the wealthiest kids in Orleans parish, you would be disappointed at how many of them are blue blooded liberals after a 5 year education at LSU

Also a bunch of bullshite. Millennials are not some fricking dip in the gene pool. Most want to have a good life and prosperity. Most don't believe in the leftist or right wing fantasies. You are all merely perpetuating stupid shite you read based on stupid fricking studies that have no basis in science.

I love your posts.

But this section in particular is the REAL reason. If we had an economic boom like in the 1990s. This socialist movement would have died in the cradle.

You GOP want to stop the spread of this. Make the best economy possible for young professionals.

I'm being sincere.

My generation is really misunderstood. There’s a few limousine liberals, some guilty white-cucks, some who have a large concentration of melanin, and some illegals. These, all grouped together probably make up less than half of the American Millennial population. Unfortunately, it gets lumped in as a whole and we all get labeled crazies

Amen. The problem is that the facebook and hashtaggers are the most vocal. Conservatives aren't any better as the vocal of them are just as extremists (racist nationalist, civil rights deniers, religious enforcers etc.)

Neither extreme represents the averagee 20 to 30, who is just trying to land s decent job, start a family, and is more/less lax on social issues.

Disappointed, yes; surprised, no. Cosmopolitan liberalism is the ideology de jure of 90% of the well-off, even Southerners.

The source material of the survey is here. This was an online survey with 2,300 respondents. The breakdown of the responses by demographic is on page 29.

The "View as a Hero" question is confusing to me. It asks if each figure is a "Personal hero, a hero for their country, or a hero to the world." A respondent might select "hero" if they think that Kim Jong Un is a hero in North Korea. So they might select "hero" without believing the figure to be a personal hero or a true hero to the leader's country.
