Time for a serious answer:
Many millennials have grown up in a generation where there is literally ‘No Hope’
Although millennial birth year is vague, it typically goes late 70s/early 80s to mid 90s. That probably encompasses a lot of posters on this board.
I served with a millennial generation that took up arms in the USMC, I’ve fought beside these guys, known people who died, and we carried on with our lives. Yes, it’s a God-damned shame that millennials are being defined by the SJW narrative being regurgitated by the media.
It gets traction with you old folks. Have an enemy? If not, MILLENIALS!!!! Blame those frickers. Sure, I hate every scarf-wearing douche in coffee shops across Austin and Seattle, but that’s not the real issue.
The real issue is that for the past 30 or so years, the economy has been absolute dog shite. I had to join the military, get a degree, and am working on a second and all to make a mediocre salary. That’s what it takes now days. It’s not like the 80s when college was a few thousand dollars, and you walked out making a livable income. A lot of “MUH millenials” are just looking for hope. I don’t agree with where they’re placing their hope, but I see why they’re desperate.

I was using that as an example. I skew libertarian, but I one hundred percent understand why people are pissed about that. AIG took on insanely risky investments, failed, yet were rewarded with government money, yet thousands of students did the same thing with loan money, yet they cannot even go through bankruptcy. It's because they have never struggled. They have never lived without. People that grew up in the 50's, 60's had parents that benefited from capitalism. The millennials take everything for granted.

I was in the Corps active duty from 06-10 the economy was terrible during those times.
Like I said in my earlier post, I’m not in favor of where my generation is placing their angst. Bernie is a fricking con-artist but I think it should be easy to see why we’re angry.
We were the “cut-off” generation. Our entire lives will be spent paying bills and fixing the deficit. We’ll never truly know what it feels like to he financially free.

Was in an upper level Poli sci class at LSU many years back. Had some group work and there was a weird little fricker who couldn't shut up about how he was a Communist. Eh, I think there is some financial burden laid at the feet of millennials, but a good portion of them asked for it, mainly in the name of universal healthcare and college tuition where they love to spend money on worthless degrees and lazy rivers.

The deficit isn't as significant as the national debt. And I'm GenX and probably have 20+ more years of work. I think we'll have a bigger economic shock than 08 in that period due to runaway government spending
