This is the problem, see 40 plus years ago the younger generation wouldn't have blamed their parents. The reason millennials are so fricked up is because they spend too much time thinking about who fricked them, while they should be going back to the drawing board and working on solutions.

eh, the real issue is moving forward...
automation isn't a far off distant thing, it's a reality that is here right now even if it's not really implemented much ...
in theory, automation will lead to a better future for everyone but with a big percentage of the workplace out of luck. plus it will be very disruptive to several existing industries
some sort of social welfare is around the corner whether we like it or not.

We didn’t ask for universal healthcare. I never voted for Barry. That was all minorities.
I’m actually staunchly against “free” college. I had to join up to be able to get an education. I think free college will do nothing but water-down the value of a degree.
My generation is really misunderstood. There’s a few limousine liberals, some guilty white-cucks, some who have a large concentration of melanin, and some illegals. These, all grouped together probably make up less than half of the American Millennial population. Unfortunately, it gets lumped in as a whole and we all get labeled crazies
I’m actually staunchly against “free” college. I had to join up to be able to get an education. I think free college will do nothing but water-down the value of a degree.

the changes that automation is likely to bring to current western society is likely to be one of the most fast occurring and most widespread effects in history.
that virtually guarantees major strife for a lot of people before it settles down again.
whether it destroys societies in the process, is yet to be determined, but changes such as industrialization etc have done so in the past

The problem is that the same kids who bitch about how much their gender studies degree costs also agree to turn their campus into a resort. The real issue is that these institutions become self serving which, in turn, increases tuition. Any calls for cutting higher ed costs are protested by everyone on the left which also includes a lot of millennials. It's a great example of their lack of knowledge on economics and can explain their affinity towards socialism/communism.

All jobs would have to raise salaries well above the UBI to incentivize people to work rather than take the UBI. This would also cause inflation as salaries would be constantly raised and the UBI would have to be raised in tandem. It would be a total mess.
The people living off of the UBI would be the modern day welfare recipients as prices, salaries and inflation eventually adjusted.

im not arguing for the details of proper implementation. thats a tricky thing and youre right, it could be fricking disastrous but in theory everyone would get the UBI. not just a few people in poverty; whether youre a millionaire or a thousander, you get the UBI.
