I'm with you. People should always be held accountable for their actions, but not for what they do to themselves. It's a loss of freedom.

Exactly. Prostitution is legal and regulated in Nevada. Sure there are some people that utilize it, but its not the masses - and no where near 98% of the adult American male population.

I'm with you. They should sell meth and heroine at Wal-Mart. Make it easier on us.

Because individual problems x a percentage of the population = societal problems. Drugs and prostitution often are accompanied by other criminal activity and by health issues.

Because the Federal Government can't collect the taxes of these services.

So we shouldnt make prostitution legal because suddenly tons of women will become whores?

No, you missed the point. You asked "why is prostitution illegal". I was pointing out that one reason prostitution is illegal is to prevent women from becoming whores. E

Making drugs readily available to the public increases the likelihood that criminals will use that abundant supply to sell to new markets - namely adults under 21 and children.

what was easier to buy at your high school: weed or alcohol?

100% wrong. sex slaves are only possible with the market being a black market. legalizing it means legitimacy, which decreases the market for sex slaves. if you support illegal prostitution, you are supporting the industry of slavery

Any wife or woman that uses sex as leverage or a bargaining tool is a proustite, and it's legal.

LOL

That's one of the main reasons TO legalize it.

That and protecting the women and reducing human trafficking.

Government ensuring that drugs are good quality and sold to the correct age, i understand. Much like food, alchohol, etc....

The government telling adult private citizens what they can and cannot put into their bodies in private? I cannot comprehend the justifiably

All things in moderation. You dont see the difference between the FDA ensuring food is edible and safe, and telling people what they can and cannot eat?

Making sure food sold is edible - i can understand.

Stopping me from eating as much food as i want to when i want to until my heart explodes - not ok.

well. yes. I would agree with that.

If you serve people spoiled meat and piss in a cup, you wont last long.

Also, some of the restaurants that top those "most egregious health violations" lists are awesome. Namely Manchu Wings.

right

Government regulation is one thing. Making something unlawful is another.
