We moved from one of the most leftist neighborhoods in America to one of the most conservative zip codes.

It’s a complex answer in my situation. I never realized just how much I hate true rednecks. Not country folk, of any socioeconomic status. But rednecks who litter (including dumping appliances, paint, tires etc in the woods/roadside), speed and drive aggressively like assholes lunatics and tailgate, do burnouts, etc. then there’s the meth/opiodheads. They’re mostly unhealthy, obese, smokers, heavy drinkers. Barely literate.

BUT we don’t have neighbors. So this is just sort of our an about between us and civilization. So it doesn’t really affect our lives much except for having to be paranoid-level careful driving. And just knowing they exist.

The leftists in our old neighborhood were fine except for their political signs and bumper stickers. I never had any personal bad encounters. Until COVID. I realized how dangerous it was to be surrounded by mindless statists when times get rough.
