You're a pretty bright guy, if it was beiber or usher why wouldn't someone in the media leak a hint at that? It would get way more clicks/views than "A-list"
The normal move is to oversell the actual name, unless the name is actually someone as big as beiber or usher.

With the exception of some Muslim countries, the USA has got to be one of the most homophobic places in the world. Do you guys travel outside the US? In most places, people don't give 2 rips about homosexuality and bisexuality. It's so common throughout Europe, Latin America, parts of Asia.(not sure about Africa) Nobody cares. There's an old saying, "There's nothing new under the sun". Homosexuality has been around since mankind has been around. It ain't nothing new. I imagine most men do it because it can be a quick, unemotional, unattached orgasm. Without having to deal with the emotional embodiments of women. Men understand men. Just my .02.
