13 MPG '04 Z71 Tahoe. ~ $70 a tank, but Costco card brings it down $10 a tank

I used to cringe when I was living up in BR, because I was not working.
Back in Nola now started my career, dont think twice about it, but im ready for a new car.
looking at a Q5 in a year or so

whoa.

I thought My Taco did bad.

But I have a 2x4, maybe the 4x4 is that much worse.
Gets me that such a small light truck has that bad of mileage. But it's much better than the 10-12 my 360ci Ram got.

ETA - I drive around 80 miles a day sometimes more.
I have put 43,000 miles on it in the last two and a half years.

LEAF for in-town driving. free charging (basically). free car with tax credits.

My F-250 superduty doesn't get a lot of use these days at 16mpg.

Selling the Cherokee XJ. Sold the other pickup. My subaru is a must for rocky mtn winters, but it sucks gas in town too.

yeah, i rented a volvo xc something or another just to go to airport a few months ago and it had terrible city mpg rating.

in the south right now diesel is only 8% or so more than gas, and those TDIs rock. Waiting on the 2015 sportwagen.

Until last week I never had a vehicle that got over 20mpg. Never bothered me much except for my first year of college when it was tough to afford the gas. Needed a truck and didn't have much of a choice.

I was shocked that my new truck has a 30 gallon tank. I've yet to be able to fill it all the way up before the pump shuts down at $100.

I drive a 94 suburban on 33's. I get a massive 8mpg.

It has a 32 gal tank, which is a beat to fill from empty, but I try not to let it get past a quarter of a tank anyway. My dad always said that it's just as easy to put ten bucks in it everyday and keep it full as it is to put ten bucks every day and keep it empty.

When'd you ditch the beige rims? Good call, it looks a lot better now.
