I would drive one.

BTW, this video of a Corvette hitting 200mph on a new Texas Highway is awesome. I love the sound.

I would, and I am none of those things.

This thread did not go as OP planned.

Always said, when I grow up and become a real OT baller with two or more vehicles, a Vette would be one.

Drove my buddies parents 50th anniversary a few months after they got it when I was 20ish. Took a couple right angle curves that weren't super elevated and that thing hugged the ground like a champ at 65+ mphs. I knew two things: 1. His parents were dumb for letting us take the car & 2. I wanted one at some point in my life.

The latest generation body style is fricking sick!

Because the Demon weights more than a Jeep Cherokee

Which car gets you better performance for 120k than a C7Z06?

2019 Chevy Camaro, 650 hp/650 lb.-ft. for ~$60,000

2018 Dodge Challenger/Charger Hellcat, 707 hp/650 lb.-ft. both for ~ $64,000

2018 Dodge Challenger Demon, 808 hp/717 lb.-ft. for ~$80,000

2019 Cadillac CTS-V, 640 hp/630 lb.-ft. for ~$85,000

2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, 707 hp/645 lb.-ft. for ~$86,000

ok? they're not comparable vehicles

RC-F is more of a GT for sure and the LC - 500 is not in the same price range.

edit: I stand corrected. Yall are talking about the 120k version.

I'd take a 2018 Nismo GTR over a Corvette.

More power doesn't necessarily mean better performance, case in point your examples.

Exactly,
None of those cars would even be close around a track.

Why are people so concerned about what other people drive. I have never owned a corvette but have driven a few. They are fantastic driving cars. As are porches, BMW's, ferraris... Who cares, if its what you want to spend your money on get what you want and quit worrying about what others might think. Hell I drove a miata that was a blast to drive. I have driven a truck that was boring but a great vehicle. Those who judge others need to learn to live their own lives and quit judging or worrying about others. As for "who would drive a corvette" anyone who appreciates great performance for a reasonable price. I have other cars I would buy before it in the price range but I completely understand why someone would.

All of those cars weigh at least a thousand pounds more than a Corvette and would get left behind by the Z06, at least until the first turn, where they'd all smash into the retaining wall at speed if they were truly trying to keep up, toolbag.

All except maybe the CTS-V. Don't they share similar platforms?

there is not many things more annoying than people fishing for cool points by not liking something that is popular.

Awful. The vette shits all over every one of those

For my 120k, it's either a Z06 or a GTR.

Maybe a low level 911, although I would imagine you can't tick too many option boxes.

My hair cutting chick's hubby has a street legal 1000hp Z06. I would definitely drive it. If you wouldn't, you're too boring for me to talk to

My step-dad also had a '64 split window that is amazingly fun to just cruise around in. Once again, you'd be too boring to know if you wouldn't drive it
