I wear them because if you put each of the sheep’s back legs in your bootlegs, she can’t get away from you.

You people are the hoi polloi.
There are certain social rules that generally should be followed when wearing tuxes. Those rules can be bent or even broken by certain people. Generally, your typical OT poster is not someone who should be bending or breaking those rules.

Millionaires , Stock holders, Company Ceo's, Politicians etc.?
I'll have to disagree.
Ive stood toe to toe at events with the common joes to millionaires, stock holders, company ceo's, private company owners and politicians etc. and in many cases they were wearing boots with their tux and no one cared. Either way custom made shoes or boots its all the same to me.

I wear them because I like the smell of cowhide leather and they hella easy to put on, and take off.

Size 14 Canebrake rattlesnake, python. As comfortable in boots as sneakers

I refuse to wear tennis shoes with jeans
I've worn khakis my entire life that I've had the choice. I recently bought some jeans, put them on, slipped on my tennis shoes and realized how clunky it looked. I wore some dress shoes instead.
That being said, wear what you want.

I'm just trying to figure out what brands and styles work with a tux. High gloss shined leather with no imprints like ostrich seem like a good fit. Like a smooth, polished black leather.

They’re best for kicking arse

Hoss, you sound like you’re all hat and no cattle to me.

I
When I wore tuxes more often I wore Black Tony Lamas that were stitched and also had a pair of Justins that had a smooth finish in black. Boots are easy to shine up. Boots were not High Gloss and looked fine. I have looked at high gloss boots but the first time I wore them I would probably scuff them. I have always been hard on work boots even worse on dress boots. If theres a place to scuff them my feet always find it.

I loved wearing them as a little kid. Never again until recently in my early 40s. My grandfather had custom boots made in the early 1950s which happen to fit me perfectly now. He passed away in the early 1990s and my dad had them in a closet for decades.

Not bad Clint. I’ll give it a 6 out of 10 for using more insinuation than simply being direct.
For what it’s worth, you’re probably a good dude and not as gay as your boots make you look.

I picked those up in western Michoacán about 10 years ago, lots of locals had them. I never wear them tbh, more like a souvenir.
