Who remembers the older lady who disappeared from the truck stop in Port Allen?

Does anyone remember her name? And if so was there any resolution to her case?

I believe she was going to visit her husband who was in federal prison. I think he may have been the commissioner of elections at one time

Mari Ann Fowler. The police are almost certain it was Derrick Todd Lee who killed her because a truck fitting the description of his was seen in the little bit of video they had pulling up next to her and a large man jumping out and grabbing her. His cell phone also pinged a tower in near vicinity.
Lee was remorseless to the end. The police tried to get him to admit to killing her and telling them where he deposited her remains, but he never would. He was a pos to the max.

They usually are. Derrick Todd Lee and the guy from Atlanta that killed all the young black kids in the late 70’s and early 80’s are the only two I can think of.
They called the Atlanta guy “The Son of Sambo”. But that is probably no longer PC.

No, sadly, they haven't found her yet. I had heard that her son tried to talk her into staying with him for the holiday, but she felt she needed to go see her husband, Jerry Fowler. Just a very, very sad thing. I can't even imagine the shear terror and pain that poor woman must have gone through, along with all the other unfortunate victims. Just horrible.

DTL was some scary stuff. My friends fiancé was roomates (“which makes us nothing”) with the girl killed in tiger land.
I think the lady killed off of Stanford supposedly had DTL face prints on her windows.

Yep. DC sniper is another one. I know a CO that works in the VA prison where he is incarcerated.

I just went and read up on Wayne Williams.
He was never convicted of any of the kids murders. He was convicted of killing 2 adults.
