General contractor, 10s of millions for his business...Zero telling what he takes as ‘income’. He got something like 190 hours from LSU but never graduated. We roomed together first semester and went on our ‘graduation’ trip, for a month, together as well.

I know Bill Dore and when he sold global industries it was public knowledge how much it sold for.

Friends dad built and sold a big company in california with some other guys. Sold for more money than him or his children could spend living normally. Family is set up now.

I have an uncle that is part of the family that bought into Borden milk a long long time ago. Doesnt look so good now, but I they have never ever worried about money and simply live like any other midwest farmers. He had sheep and cattle up until a few yesrs ago. I think farming just gave him something to do.

rich <> yearly income

although they usually go together

I think of rich as having a pile of money and not having to do anything

The richest person I know or knew will now probably end up in Federal prison, so there's that.

I know a couple of high powered attorneys, I would imagine they do well.

One of my neighbors, started a cabinet shop with his Dad, grew it into a factory, then another. Sold the company a few years ago for somewhere in the low 9 figure range.

Now he just goofs around with Muscle Cars, and has one of the largest collections in the world. He's in his early 60s.
