As Ukraine has demonstrated. You do not need to have ships to destroy ships. You just need missiles. Any Chinese fleet approaching the USA would be hit with the biggest missile swarm in history. Since Chinese air defense technology is based on Russian air defense technology which was not able to protect the Muskva at sea or even protect Russian ships in port the Chinese ships would be f**ked.
