A cousin lives near St. Louis and had the opportunity to buy tickets for all the potential world series games (third base front) for his whole family. He agonized. He tried to talk himself out of it. He discussed it with the family. They decided : go for it. No other presents this year.
They went, They cheered, two years later they were still excited telling me about it at a family reunion.

It was actually cheaper to fly to some of her shows in Europe than buy tickets to see her in NOLA.
One show in the UK would’ve been about $1400 for round trip flight and a decent seat.
They’re wanting almost 2k to sit behind the stage in NOLA.

Taylor Swift clearly isn't charging anywhere near enough for tickets to her shows.

I don’t think I’d pay that to see Elvis resurrected with a band that included Jimi Hendrix & John Lennon.

And then they praise her for donating thousands of dollars to charity like she’s a saint. Lol
Bitch you do know you are subsidizing her good publicity, right?

pricing for entertainment is obscene across the board regardless of what you are into.
covid to thank, the industries are trying to recoup their losses and then some.
won't change until people just say frick it and stay away, it's only been getting progressively worse it seems.
i for one am out. have been for a couple of years now, and tempted to cut the cable television pay-ins too.

We've got 4, paid face value for them for my daughters b-day this year and I am taking her and two friends.
StubHub has them for about $2600 each in our section / row right now.
I told her if she agreed, we could sell two, I'll still bring her and we would split the profits, she said no. I then said, how about I take you and one friend, we sell one ticket and split the profits.
She's now pondering that offering.

I made $11,000 reselling 12 tickets to last years Houston show. Research into the email addresses that bought them showed that 1 purchaser was a doctor in Pennslyvania whose daughter was attending Rice.
The other purchaser had an email associated with Jim Adler law firm. I do not think it was Jim but an attorney associated with his firm.
