I think we most likely see a Broome and Watson runoff, but I would prefer to see Wicker I think. I've certainly seen enough of Broome.

The pay is good. They've probably never made that much money. They also get to travel on the public's dime. If they play their cards right, they might get noticed by the national media.

I've seen polling. She polls ridiculously well overall, and better on things like handling of coronavirus.

I can only think of a few people who would have a shot at beating Cantrell, and incumbent mayors really don't lose here so I doubt anyone serious will try.

No normal, sane person wants to subject himself or his family to the insane standards upheld by social media mobs. Having every statement, opinion, photograph, and action from a person's entire life overanalyzed to label a person as racist, misogynistic, homophobic, etc. is not worth it.

Broome got 31% in the runoff the last time with Marcelle coming in third getting 13%. I don't see Marcelle getting anymore than that this time around with Wicker in the race. But I assume most who will vote Wicker (who is leaps and bounds more organized at this point) would have voted Broome and not Marcelle. So, it's going to be a very interesting race all around. But I can't see Marcelle carrying enough of the vote to get in a runoff.

I'd love to be mayor of New Orleans.

You don't have to do anything. You don't even have to pay your taxes. You don't have to improve infrastructure or repair city services or try and bring business to the city or ensure major skyline changing construction happens safely or at all. You don't have to respect your constituents or give a shite about your community.

You do literally nothing but run your mouth about ignorant nonsense and you get praised and coddled and paid.

Not a bad gig for someone with no standards, no integrity, no dignity, and no soul.

What common-sense individual would want to be Mayor and subject themselves to this insanity. Only deranged, desperate people may apply. I cannot begin to imagine what the next New Orleans mayor's race will look like.

A lot of normal people probably want to be mayor.

It’s just that the citizens of the city proper will never vote for that person.

It is not a public service. It is a business. The amount of networking and kick backs you make is ridiculous.

It is not old school. I wouldn't mind
